The Great British Entrepreneur Awards are a platform to recognise the people behind some of the UK’s most brilliant businesses. And we’re delighted to be partnering with them in 2020 as we continue to support small businesses with our Three Means Business plans and benefits.
2020 hasn’t been kind to the world of business, so the Great British Entrepreneur Awards are more relevant than ever. On 23 September, 550 finalists, along with family and friends, celebrated entrepreneurship from the comfort of home.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunk had a message of support for entrepreneurs in the UK. And he congratulated the finalists, making reference to the particular challenges facing business this year.
The awards were a massive success with 5000 live views. With the help of some brilliant hosts, GBEA came to life in kitchens, lounges, and offices around the UK. We sponsored the ‘Three’ course menu for the evening, which featured Holy Moly Dips, Mindful Chef and Northern Bloc ice cream. And we invited all the small business finalists to answer ‘Three’ questions that might inspire others. You can see their inspirational ShoutOut videos here.
Categories for the awards included, Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year, Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year, and Entrepreneur for Good Award. With the winner from each category going through to the National Final in London on 23 November.
Our very own Annika Bizon, from Three Enterprise judged the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category. And the well-deserved winners were:
Molly Masters at Books That Matter
Barry Tong at Stephensons Online Ltd
Helen Chapman at Dotty Fish Ltd
Callum Griffiths at Clydach Farm Group
Lawrence Hill at Plant Power
Ngozi Ossai at Gozi Haircare
Cheryl Macdonald at Yogabellies Ltd
Adam Chaudhri and Eloise Frank at The Big Bakes Ltd
This inspirational lot, along with all other winners from the evening, will go through to the National Final on Tuesday 8 December. And we’ll be proudly sponsoring the Small Business of the Year category. Bring it on.
