It’s holiday time. Finally!

Holidays are when we’re living our best phone lives to the full. Whether it’s choosing hotel rooms or booking taxis to the airport, to planning incredible days out and taking sunset selfies with cocktails.

If you’re busy getting ready for your trip, make sure you understand what it costs to use your phone before you travel. So you can scroll, upload, get directions, and stay connected without worrying about sky high costs.

Here’s our lowdown on how much it costs to roam – as well as a few app recommendations to make planning for your holiday that bit easier.

First things first…

Make sure roaming is activated on your account before you travel. You can do that here: managing your data roaming settings

How much does it cost to Go Roam with Three?

Go Roam lets you use your calls, texts, and data allowance in 71 destinations around the world.

You can check if your destination is one of them here: Check your destination

Roaming in Europe costs £2 per day.

Roaming in Go Roam destinations outside of Europe costs £5 per day.

You can find out more information – including our T&Cs – on our Go Roam page

What if I’m not travelling to a Go Roam destination?

More destinations are available with our Data Passport (see below).

Your normal allowances aren’t available in destinations that aren’t part of Go Roam. You’ll be charged standard roaming rates, which will vary depending on the destination.

You can find out the charges in any destination by visiting our Roaming Abroad page

Get unlimited data with a Data Passport

We’ll text you with a Data Passport link when you arrive in an eligible destination. Tap the link to buy your Data Passport – it’s that easy.

You can also buy a data passport before you travel.

Control Your Spending

A Spend Cap lets you limit your spending on things not included in your monthly plan and you can set this from £0 to £100.  Remember that you will need to set this at an amount so you are able to pay for the Daily Roaming Charges and any Data Passports that you want to buy whilst you are away.  We also put a Worldwide Data Roaming Limit in place which is an additional measure to protect you from excessive data charges whilst roaming. If you’ve never asked us to change it, your Data Roaming Limit will be £45 but you can change it by calling Customer Services.
