Who doesn’t love new phone day? The unboxing, exploring new features, and trying out the camera, of course.
And to help you get to know your new Galaxy A54, we’ve put together some tips and tricks. Read on to get the most out of your new phone.
Trying out the camera is one of the best things about getting a new phone. And if you want to get the most out of your A54 camera, here are some of our favourite tips:
Snapping photos on a night out or trying to capture an atmospheric evening shot – low-light photography can be hard to get right. That’s where Nightography comes in. It works by combining a series of shots to create a single, perfectly lit image with sharp detail.
To turn on, go to Camera > More > Night.
One of the easiest ways to get a great shot is to use the rule of thirds. Putting your subject in the left or right third of your frame leaves the rest of your image open. That makes for a well-composed image.
Need help placing your subject? Gridlines are an excellent smartphone photography tool. You can turn them on by going to Camera > Settings > tap Gridlines > tap back to go return to your camera screen. Then you’re good to go.
You can find ways to customise your display by going to Settings > Display. Our top 3 are:
Prefer a dark screen? You can switch on dark mode at the top of the display settings. This is a good power-saving tip, too.
As well as having an incredible Infinity-O display, did you know the A54 has an adaptive refresh rate? Switching to the 120Hz mode makes gaming and scrolling silky-smooth. It can use more battery though.
It’s no secret that the blue light from phones can affect our sleep. Eye comfort shield reduces that blue light, making your A54 screen a little easier on your eyes.
The Samsung Galaxy A54 boasts a 2-day battery life - thanks to its massive 5,000mAh battery. But there are ways to squeeze out more juice. Here are some of our top battery-saving tips:
You can save a bit of power by dropping your screen brightness. To turn on adaptive brightness, head to display settings.
Does what it says on the tin. Head to quick settings to turn low power mode on.
Your screen time out can be set from 10 minutes to 15 seconds. Having a shorter screen wake time not only saves you from awkward pocket dials and potential security risks but saves your battery too.
With Knox – Samsung’s security platform – your Galaxy A54’s protected as soon as you switch it on. But there are some security tips you can use to help keep your phone and personal details safe.
Things like 0000, 1234, or your birthday don’t work as secure PINs and passwords. They’re far too easy to guess. And if they are, biometrics and other security measures can be bypassed.
So, make sure your PIN and passwords are secure and avoid using the same password for every account or app.
If you’ve got content that you’d like to keep safe, the Secure Folder’s the perfect place. Add anything from photos and videos to apps and other information and rest easy knowing it’s protected by Samsung Knox. You can add an extra layer of protection with a password or biometrics too.
We hope these tips and tricks will help you get the most out of your new Samsung Galaxy A54 5G.
